I like to watch corporate changes and well evolutions from time to time. Recently a surge to move all or most of manufacturing corporations are move their manufacturing departments to china. Why is this you ask? Well more labor is readily available and very willing to work. Not discounting the people of china since the people are very rich in culture and traditions. China as a business is quickly being ramped up for a more global economy. Infrastructures and such are being created so that multiple fortune 500 companies and even privately held companies are able to transition quickly.
With that in mind it is a great opportunity while the ramping up is to prepare yourself for the global economy of China to learn the language. If you already have a good grasp on the language then you are that much more prepared to do business,train and grasp the culture.
As a tip it would make anyone more productive and more job security as well as more valuable to companies that need professionals that understand and can translate.
